GUDTP Annual Conference | Registration Now Open
All GUDTP scholars are warmly invited to attend our flagship annual event, the GUDTP Annual Conference.
A celebration of the excellent and innovative research conducted by our scholars, this two-day conference offers a kaleidoscopic view of their diverse methodological approaches and the wide range of their research interests. Unlike most academic conferences, which bring together experts in one field, or public engagement opportunities that require translating research for a public audience, our annual conference is a unique opportunity for scholars to address an interdisciplinary but highly skilled and engaged audience, benefit from the fresh perspective of others, get inspired by their work, and find out how much they have in common (or not). It is an opportunity to connect with peers across institutions, departments, and research pathways; forge new collaborations and even friendships.
With many thanks to those who have submitted an abstract, we are looking forward to meeting you there. We expect all GUDTP scholars to attend, regardless of whether you are presenting or not.
If you are on fieldwork, in an overseas institutional visit, or on placement at the time of the conference, please consider participating by posting about your experience in our LinkedIn group.
Keynote Speakers
1971 Professor of Geography, University of Oxford
Professor of International Relations, Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Oxford
Food, Fun, and Practicalities
To enjoy the unique historic environment of Oxford, we have booked three different venues for this event; The Manor Road Building, St Hilda's College, and St Anne's College featuring a mix of lovely gardens and architectural styles. Lunches and refreshments will be provided on both days and all attendees are invited to join us for dinner on Tuesday evening.
To avoid waste, we have a strict policy of registration with commitment to attend the banquet dinner at St Hilda's on the 23rd. Cancellations within the last 48 hours will be charged at £50.
The GUDTP will provide accommodation for attendees from the Open University and Brunel University of London upon request. Free accommodation is not available for Oxford students.
