Public Policy

The Blavatnik School of Government was founded in 2010 to support and inspire better government globally – through outstanding research, teaching and policy engagement. Our multidisciplinary faculty work on the most urgent policy challenges facing governments, from global cooperation and armed conflict, to economic development, inequality, public service delivery, and artificial intelligence. Major research centres within the School include the What Works Hub for Global Education, the Oxford Institute for Law, Ethics and Armed Conflict, the Government Outcomes Lab on public contracting, and the Centre for the Study of African Economies. The School is also home to the Climate Policy Monitor, the Oxford Programme for Cyber and Technology Policy, and the Oxford Institute of Technology and Justice.
